THINKfast
Welcome to THINKfast 2012 Development and Peace’s popular education and fundraising campaign for youth.

THINKfast brings youth together to explore the causes of poverty and social injustice and it inspires them to learn how they can make a difference in their community and in their world.
THINKfast is a 25-hour fast where breaking the fast together becomes a chance to be thankful and share in a Solidarity Celebration with your family and friends.
THINKfast empowers youth to live their faith and make socially responsible decisions about how they live their lives while also raising funds for the work of Development and Peace.
TOGETHER we can make a difference!

I wish to register our parish’s Thinkfast – may I do this on-line?

Hi everyone! I attend St.Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Brampton and I am taking part in the THINKfast organizing. I am so excited to be a part of this great organization and I am encouraging many people from my school to be a part of it as well. I am also creating a website that will allow others to see what’s going on!
I’m back again! Our website is complete and up! Check it out: http://www.fastchange.co.nr

Dominic,
Our new 2011 THINKfast kit will be ready this December, for use anytime. Alternatively, you can use the 2010 THINKfast kit for an event this fall.
Best wishes on a powerful THINKfast!

Hey Genevieve,
I’m a teacher at Cardinal Ambrozic S.S. in Brampton and we are going to be organizing our first ThinkFast along with a Day of Service during the day – just wondering when the Thinkfast 2011 kit will be available.
Merry Christmas!
Hi Andrew!
The 2011 THINKfast kits were sent in the mail before Christmas so they would arrive at the beginning of January. We can mail you the new THINKfast kit if you didn’t recieve it – just send us your contact info and mailing address.
The online content for download AND the online fundraising is available this week (Jan 3-7). Check it out!
Happy New Year,
Genevieve

Hi. I’m planning a Thinkfast Retreat at Holy Cross Parish in Regina Sk. I wanted to use some of the skits mentioned in the 2011 kit but the website won’t allow me to read the file. Is there any other way for me to get those?
Thanks.
Hi Chelsea,
Great news about your THINKfast!
I will email you them is you can’t download them – they are in Adobe Acrobat.

Hey everyone! I am organizing a THINKfast for this upcoming friday, April 8th, but I have yet to register it. I have someone sending the resources to the school, like the DVD and the shirts, but do I still need to send in the registration form?
Thanks Dave! Nope, since we’ve already mailed the materials to you we don’t need the registration form. Can’t wait to hear how it went. God bless, your THINKfast Team
I am a pre-service teacher at a Catholic middle school in Red Deer, Alberta, and we held our THINKfast this past weekend. Just wanted to report that the event was a huge success attended by 45 students grades 6-9! Together we raised just over $1900 and had a lot of fun!
hi, my school is enrolling in the Thinkfast this year! And i was wondering, in order for the students that participate in the Thinkfast to stand out, is there any way to get t-shirts or other things to stand apart and help raise awareness?
Hi Danielle,
Thanks for your comment – great to hear that you are organizing a THINKfast event.
You receive two free T-shirts once you register with us (please indicate preferred sizes).
You can order additional T-shirts at $15 each. This info can be found in the THINKfast kit – let me know, if you received one or download it here: http://youth.devp.org/thinkfast/
Thanks
Raphael
